Congress fields boxer Vijender Singh from south Delhi

Congress has declared Olympic medalist boxer Vijender Singh as their candidate from South Delhi Lok Sabha seat. According to the statement issued by party, Vijender will be their candidate from South Delhi. This seat will be contested by Vijender against Ramesh Bidhudi of BJP and Raghav Chadha from Aam Aadmi Party. Vijender won the bronze medal for the country in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. With the announcement of their candidacy, the Congress has declared candidates in seven seats of Delhi.
