Schools to remain closed on August 14 in Dehradun, due to heavy rain alert
According to the weather forecast issued by Dehradun on August 13, 2023, on August 13 and 14, 2023, a red alert has been issued in the district Dehradun for thunder and lightning / very intense to very intense rainfall. Presently, in view of moderate to heavy rainfall in all the areas of the district, the possibility of landslides increases in sensitive places. Due to this, any kind of unpleasant incident may happen. Therefore, in view of disaster mitigation, the district administration has declared one day holiday on 14.08.2023 in all educational institutions and Anganwadi centers operating from class 01 to 12 of the district.
Therefore, all Anganwadi centers along with all government / non-government and private schools in the district will be closed on 14 August 2023. Chief Education Officer Dehradun and District Program Officer Dehradun are directed to ensure compliance of the above order in all the above mentioned educational institutions and Anganwadi centers.
