Weather update: Heavy rain alert issued for Himachal, Uttarakhand

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall to continue over Uttarakhand during the next four days and over Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Sikkim during August 13-14. There will be heavy rains in Uttarakhand on Monday and Tuesday.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain in the rest of the country during the next three-four days. Thereafter, active Monsoon conditions are likely to resume.

Delhi Weather Update

According to the Meteorological Department, it will be cloudy in Delhi today. At the same time, there may be light rain on 14 and 15 August. Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 36.1 degree Celsius on Saturday. The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.3 degree Celsius, which is normal.

Himachal Pradesh Weather Update

According to IMD, next 24 hours are could see heavy rains in most parts in Himachal Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert on Sunday in eight districts except Chamba, Lahul Spiti, Kullu and Kinnaur. Normal life has been thrown out of gear due to heavy rain since Friday night.

Uttarakhand Weather Update

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rains in six districts of Uttarakhand even today. In view of this, a red alert has been issued there. Orange alert has been issued in Haridwar and yellow alert has been issued for the rest of the areas.
