After CBSE, Uttarakhand Board too cancels class XII exams

After the cancellation of CBSE and ICSE 12th exams, now Uttarakhand Board 12th exams have also been canceled. Announcing this on Wednesday, Education Minister Arvind Pandey has issued orders. He said that the government has taken this decision keeping in view the interests of the students and teachers. He said that all the students would be promoted. Also the children who think that they have been promoted by getting less marks will be given an opportunity to appear in the examination.

1347 centers were made for the examination

More than 1,23,000 children are registered for the 12th examination of Uttarakhand Board. Whereas 1347 examination centers were made for the examination. In this, 223 centers were declared sensitive and 22 examination centers were declared susceptible.

 

Preparation was made to conduct 12th examination on the lines of competitive examinations

The government was preparing to conduct the Uttarakhand Board’s 12th examination on the basis of multiple choice questions (MCQs). Education Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram said that if the examination was based on MCQs, instead of three, the paper would have been one and a half hour duration.

10th students will be promoted on this basis

Marking standards have been started to promote the 10th class students of Uttarakhand Board. According to departmental sources, students will be given marks in class 10 on the basis of marks obtained in class 9. Uttarakhand Board of School Education has sought details of internal assessment marks of students in class IX and X from schools.
