Home Minister Amit Shah takes meeting over protests at farmer tractor rally

After the shameful agitation of miscreants in Delhi in the name of agitation, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a high-level meeting to review the entire situation and gave a clear direction to strengthen the security system. Immediately additional security forces were dispatched to many areas of Delhi. Paramilitary forces will also be deployed to maintain law and order in the capital. It is not clear how many paramilitary personnel will be deployed to keep the protesters under control, but according to experts, the number may be between 1500 and 2000 (15 to 20 companies).

About four and a half thousand soldiers are already deployed due to Republic Day. In a meeting that lasted for nearly two hours on the state of chaos arising in the capital, Shah gave strict instructions after taking information from other top officials including IB Director and Home Secretary, Delhi Police Commissioner. He said that those who were involved in violence should be acted upon.

It is said that when the police commissioner spoke about the lack of police force, Shah immediately said that the shortage will be fulfilled by paramilitary force. In fact, in the events of Tuesday, police were seen retreating in front of stone pelting at many places. After the meeting, there are indications that the police, who showed excessive restraint on Tuesday, will not let any situation become chaotic. On the other hand, the intelligence agency report, which is already suspecting the background of many farmers’ organizations and leaders, may also be acted upon.

The intelligence agency still fears violence. The roots of the farmer movement have weakened due to the disturbances on Tuesday. Till yesterday, the organizations, which were talking about joint strength, were seen saving the face of their respective organizations on Tuesday. In the joint statement of the farmers, an attempt has been made to put an end to Tuesday’s incident, but it is true that the activities of many organizations among them have been suspicious from the beginning. In such a situation, the intelligence agency has been asked to be more vigilant.

The farmers, who have been agitating against the agricultural law for two months, took out a tractor rally on the Republic Day on Tuesday around the borders of Delhi. During this time, there was a clash between farmers and police in many places. The police released tear gas shells.

Dodging the police, the miscreants reached the Red Fort and ITO via the Kashmiri Gate and committed fierce violence there. Stoned the police and tried to put run over a tractor on the policemen. Some unruly miscreants entered the Red Fort.
