Rohit Sharma hits fifth ton at CWC 2019; creates world record

Star batsman Rohit Sharma of the Indian cricket team has made a world record against Sri Lanka in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, which till now no batsman has been able to do.

Rohit Sharma has created a new history in the Cricket World Cup. Rohit Sharma has become the first batsman to hit 5 centuries in World Cup history, having scored the highest number of hundreds in the 2019 edition of the tournament.

Rohit Sharma has created a new world record, leaving behind the record of former Sri Lankan veteran Kumar Sangakkara. Before Rohit, Sangakkara had made a world record of 4 centuries in the 2015 World Cup, which Rohit Sharma has broken into the 2019 World Cup.

Rohit Sharma’s Centuries in 2019 World Cup have come against South Africa, Pakistan, England, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Rohit scored an unbeaten 122 against South Africa in the first match of India in the World Cup. He scored 140 against Pakistan, 102 against England, 104 against Bangladesh and 103 against Sri Lanka.
