Treatment to get costlier in Uttarakhand government hospitals

Treatment has become expensive in state government hospitals in Uttarakhand. After the mandate of increasing the OPD and recruitment fees etc., the Directorate General of Health has also issued instructions in this regard. This increase will affect the non-Ayushman card holders and patients coming from outside. Ayushman card holders will have to pay Rs 30 as OPD fee in the district hospital. At the same time, this fee has been increased to 60 rupees for non-Ayushman card holders.

District hospitalization fees have also increased. Earlier 30 rupees were charged for admission, but now Ayushman card holders will have to pay 100 rupees to be admitted and non-Ayushman card holders 240 rupees. Bed rates in the General Ward are kept at Rs 50 for everyone equally. Two-bed private ward Ayushman card holders will have to pay 190 rupees and non-Ayushman card holders Rs 400. Single bed ward Ayushman card holders will be charged Rs 400 and non-Ayushman card holders Rs 800.

Earlier its rate was Rs 300. AC private ward will be 600 for Ayushman card holders and Rs 1000 for others. The AC room will also get 1200 for Ayushman card holders and Rs 1600 for others. Apart from this, the rates of pathology have been increased varying from Rs 30 to Rs 300. It has been kept at Rs 200, for blood culture and urine culture which have been included in this category for first time.
