Dehradun and Haridwar get new District Magistrates

The government changed the District Magistrates of the two districts on Friday. Additional Secretary Chief Minister, Vice Chairman MDDA and CEO Smart City Dehradun Ashish Shrivastava has also been given charge of District Magistrate Dehradun. District Magistrate Dehradun C. Ravi Shankar has been made the District Magistrate of Haridwar.

Without removing any old charge from IAS Ashish Srivastava, he has been given charge as DM Dehradun. At the same time, District Collector of Doon C Ravi Shankar has been sent to Haridwar in place of Deependra Chaudhary. Deependra had expressed his desire to step down as District Magistrate for personal reasons, he has not been given any charge. At the same time, it is now expected that there will be a major reshuffle at the governance level soon.

In the next transfer list, another officer can get charge of VC MDDA and CEO Smart City in place of Ashish Srivastava. There might be a change in the charges of some secretaries looking after the same department for two years. Apart from this, there is a possibility that some officials posted for Kumbh Mela will also be replaced.

Nine promoted in secretariat

Nine officers of Uttarakhand Secretariat have received promotion. Due to the court case, these envelopes were not opened after the DPC. On Friday, the Secretariat Administration Department issued promotion orders. Their deployment orders will be separate.

According to the order issued, five section officers have been made secretaries, while four secretaries have been promoted to the rank of deputy secretary. The DPC of all these officers had been formed much earlier. But the orders were in limbo. All the orders have been made under the order passed by the Supreme Court on reservation in promotion.
