Hail accompany rains in Dehradun
The weather in Uttarakhand changed course again. In the Kumaon division, the rain started from midday in the morning after mildly sunny morning, while most of the districts of Garhwal division received torrential rains.
Due to rain and hailstorm, temperatures dropped from hilly areas to the plains. Winter clothing which had been put away by most people had to be taken out again. In the next 24 hours, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of hailstorms in some hill districts including Doon valley.
From the morning, there was a stirring eruption of clouds with the thunder of clouds at different places including Dehradun, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Pauri, Chamoli, Tehri, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi. In many places in Dehradun, hail also fell.
According to the forecast of the State Meteorological Center, Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Tehri, Nainital and Pithoragarh are likely to have hailstorms. In many places, partially cloudy clouds and thunderstorms are expected to be light to moderate rainfall.
