Raj Bhavan Flower exhibition cancelled due to Coronavirus scare

So far no cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in Uttarakhand. At present, all the precautionary steps have been taken by the State Government and Health Department on the instructions of the Central Government. Emergency ambulance of 108  will be made available separately to the infected patients, so that the corona infected patients can be safely transported to hospitals.

Anil Sharma, general manager of 108 ambulance service provider company Camp, said that a lot of precautions are being taken regarding coronavirus. If the corona infected patient is taken to any ambulance and other patients are taken to the hospital by the same vehicle, then there will be a risk of infecting the patients.

In this case, the ambulance will be operated separately for infected patients. Apart from this, employees deployed on ambulances are also being informed about avoiding coronavirus.

Vasantotsav flower exhibition in Raj Bhavan canceled

Governor Baby Rani Maurya has canceled the Vasantotsav floral exhibition to be held from March 14. The governor has taken this decision, cautious about the possible infection of coronavirus.

A floral exhibition was proposed to be held at Raj Bhavan on 14 and 15 March. This time several other flowers were to be displayed at the Raj Bhavan including several varieties of tulip flowers. Preparations for the exhibition were completed. For the first time, the Governor gave instructions to open the Raj Bhavan to the public for two days. During the exhibition, a large number of people used to come to see different varieties of flowers. Flower competition is also organized in the exhibition.

Apart from many departments and institutes, private participants also participated in it. This time, the proposed flower exhibition was canceled on the advice of stopping the spread of coronavirus and not allowing crowds of people to gather at one place. Due to the possible threat of viral infection, the Governor has also banned all the events in the Raj Bhavan regarding Holi meet.

The panic of Corona is now beginning to appear in the government subsidized shops. The people reaching the ration shops are avoiding to put thumb on the biometric machine kept at the government shop and are asking the dealer to give ration without thumb imprint. In such a situation, some people created a ruckus at a shop. There was a lot of uproar. Later the dealer distributed ration to the people only after applying the thumb biometric.

Coronavirus: Sushila Tiwari will conduct a sample test in the medical college

The Central Government has declared Sushila Tiwari Medical College in Haldwani as a sample testing center for prevention of infection of coronavirus. Now in the state, samples of patients infected with corona can be examined.

On Monday, the Health Ministry informed Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar about the arrangements made by the state government to tackle the coronavirus and screening in the border areas through video conferencing. On behalf of the state government, the center was told that ICUs have been arranged in the districts. Every person coming from Nepal and China is being screened in the border areas of the state.

The District Magistrates have been instructed to follow the guidelines issued by the Center for rescue and prevention. Director General of Health, Dr. Amita Upreti said that 436 foreign nationals had come to Uttarakhand. Only 127 are living in the state. They are all being monitored. So far, 12 samples of coronavirus were sent from all over the state for investigation. The report of 10 samples has been negative in this. The report of two samples is yet to come.

The Director General of Health said that samples would be sent for examination on the advice of doctors. The central government has declared Sushila Tiwari Medical College Haldwani as a sample testing center.
