Uttarakhand Board exams postponed

High school and intermediate board examinations of Uttarakhand Board have been postponed at present. This step has been taken in view of coronavirus infection seeping across the country. Education Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram has also issued its orders.

The fear of coronavirus is constantly increasing. Efforts to contain it are also in full swing in Uttarakhand. Under this, it has been decided to postpone the Uttarakhand board examinations. According to the order issued by Education Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram, the examinations to be held on March 23, 24 and 25 will not be held for the time being.

On March 19, a meeting of the Uttarakhand Vidyalaya Shiksha Parishad was held, which stated that the Uttarakhand Board examinations 2020 were being affected due to coronavirus infection. Public representatives, center administrators, students’ guardians and room inspectors also expressed concern about this. On Saturday, the board examinations were postponed until further orders.

Answer books will not be evaluated

Efforts to prevent coronavirus infection have intensified. On the one hand, while the board examinations have been postponed, the evaluation work of Uttarakhand board examination answer sheets scheduled to be held from April 1 to April 15 has also been postponed.
