35 test negative for Coronavirus in Uttarakhand
In a much welcome news, no new patient of Corona appeared in Uttarakhand for the third consecutive day on Wednesday. A total of 35 sample test reports came from Haldwani Medical College and AIIMS Rishikesh Lab. Corona was not confirmed in any of these samples. This has brought relief to the government and health department.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, a sample of 77 people were sent to the lab for examination, in which 35 reports were received on Wednesday, but no coronavirus has been confirmed in any patient. This has brought great relief to the government.
More reports awaited
Director General of Health, Dr. Amita Upreti said that so far samples from 590 patients have been sent from Uttarakhand for examination. Out of this, seven people were found positive while the report of 505 came negative and the report of 78 is yet to come. She said that all the people who came in contact with the people who came to Corona positive have been traced and all are being screened. The work of identification of people who joined the Tablighi Jamaat is also going on at the district level.
CM appreciates healthcare workers
Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat on Wednesday appreciated the Director General of Health, Dr. Amita Upreti and her entire team for the efforts being made in the fight against Corona while addressing the public via Facebook Live. The CM said that the Director General of Health comes from a family of military background and she is also fighting like a soldier from Corona.
The CM said that out of the total seven patients of Corona admitted in the hospitals of the state, so far three reports have come negative. Out of this, two trainee IFS officers have been discharged after treatment. While a sample of a young man hospitalized in Kotdwar has also come negative.
The report of another sample is now awaiting for another youth to be discharged from the hospital. A sample of a trainee IFS admitted in Doon also came negative but after the second sample tested positive, the young man is still admitted in the hospital.
