No new corona case in Uttarakhand for 5 days in a row
The situation in Uttarakhand on the Corona front remains stable. No new case of corona has been found in the state for the fifth consecutive day. On Monday, a test report of 125 samples was received from the labs of AIIMS Rishikesh and Haldwani Medical College and all are negative. So far, 35 corona-infected patients have been reported in the state. Seven of them have become healthy and discharged. At the same time, 23 out of the 28 patients admitted to different hospitals are Tablighi attendees and five were found positive after coming in contact with them. Maximum 12 Tablighi Jamaat attendees are admitted in the Doon Medical College hospital.
According to the information received from the Health Department, out of the 125 samples reported negative, the highest number of 43 samples are from Nainital district. Other district report include of 41 samples from Nainital, 28 from Haridwar, 02 from Udhamasinganagar, four each from Chamoli and Uttarkashi and three from Pauri Garhwal have also come up negative. The Health Department has also breathed some relief when no new case of corona infection has been reported in the state for five consecutive days.
Director General of Health, Dr. Amita Upreti, says that every possible step is being taken to prevent the spread of the virus infection. Arrangements are constantly being expanded in hospitals. Patients are being identified through extensive surveillance, contact tracing and sampling in 14 identified hotspots across the state. SSo far 1978 samples have been sent from the state for investigation. Of these, 1641 reported negative and 35 positive. The investigation report of 302 samples is awaited. Currently 447 Corana suspects are admitted under the supervision of doctors in hospitals.
111 more sample sent for covid-19
On Monday, 111 more samples were sent from the state for investigation. The highest number of 38 samples are from Nainital district. 25 samples were sent from Dehradun, 34 from Haridwar, 9 from Uttarkashi, three from Rudraprayag and one each from Almora and Pauri Garhwal.
