One new positive Corona patient and one discharged in Uttarakhand

With the confirmation of coronavirus in Jamati, a Bengali native of Dehradun’s Azadi Colony, the total number of patients in the state has reached 47. While the number of corona patients in Dehradun has reached 25. Additional secretary health Yugal Kishore Pant said that on Thursday, a 55-year-old Bengali native, who was found positive, had already been quarantined and is now being admitted to Doon Hospital for treatment.

So far, Corona virus has been confirmed in a total of 47 patients in the state, out of which 24 have recovered and gone home. A patient was discharged from Doon Hospital on Thursday. A total of 295 patients, who are corona suspects, have been admitted to state hospitals and placed in isolation wards. A total of 4473 patients have been sent samples from state hospitals so far, out of which 3879 samples have come negative for examination.

While 47 patients have been found to be corona positive. Samples of a total of 197 patients have been sent from state hospitals on Thursday for examination. Maximum 65 samples have been sent from Dehradun district for investigation.

9 month old child recovers from Coronavirus

The nine-month-old corona-infected child admitted to Doon Medical College Hospital has recovered in six days. The child has become the fastest anyone has recovered from Corona in Uttarakhand. One trainee IFS recovered from Corona in seven days. According to Deputy MS and State Corona Coordinator, Dr. NS Khatri, two reports of the child were continuously negative after which the child was discharged on Thursday. The child was admitted on 17 April. The mother thanked everyone, including the doctors and nursing staff, for their efforts.

No death due to corona in the state

Additional Secretary informed that no patient has died in the state from Corona till date. On Wednesday, samples of two patients admitted to the ICU of Doon Hospital, who died, have came negative for coronavirus. So far no patient has died due to corona in Uttarakhand.
