SIT to look into Uttarakhand Forest Guard exam paper leak

Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat has given instructions for SIT investigation in paper leak case of written examination of forest guard. On this, the police headquarters has set up SITs in Pauri and Haridwar. Inspector General of Police (Garhwal) Ajay Rautela will monitor them. On Wednesday, the Chief Minister took information from police officers about the cases filed in this case. He instructed to form an SIT to nab the gang and expedite the investigation. DG-Law and Order Ashok Kumar said that SSP of both Pauri and Haridwar districts have been asked to form special teams under the leadership of one CO each. Both the teams will investigate cases registered in Pauri and Manglaur. Along with this, SSP Pauri and Haridwar will also continue to give progress reports to IG Garhwal after supervision of their respective teams. On the other hand, the Uttarakhand Subordinate Selection Commission has also decided to place jammers at such centers to prevent disturbances in recruitment examinations.

Request to speed up high-level investigations and old cases

Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission Chairman S.K. Raju and Secretary Santosh Badoni met the Chief Minister in the Assembly on Wednesday evening and informed them about the situation. The Chief Minister inquired about the issues in the Forest Guard Recruitment Examination. Commission Chairman S.K. Raju told that in one case the OMR sheet went viral and in another case the attempts of copying via Bluetooth in Roorkee came to light. He requested to expedite the investigation of the cases filed earlier by the Commission along with a high-level inquiry into the matter.

Bungling in the Forest Guard Recruitment Examination is very troublesome for the candidates. However, the police have revealed this in time. Now the accused will be punished by the law. This exam will not be canceled. The cancellation of the examination will disrupt the employment process.
