Bank Manager latest victim of target killing in Kashmir
Terrorists have now killed a bank manager in Areh Mohanpora of Kashmir’s Kulgam district, amid claims made by the Jammu and Kashmir administration and the police department to ensure security. The bank manager of Ellaqie Dehati Bank branch in Kulgam was shot dead by terrorists who entered the bank in Areh area this morning. The bank manager, who was seriously injured by the terrorists, was admitted to the nearest district hospital Kulgam, but he died during treatment. The deceased has been identified as Vijay Kumar. He was a resident of Hanumangarh Rajasthan.
Police say that when Vijay Kumar, appointed as manager in Mohanpora branch in Kulgam, was present in his bank, suddenly a suspected assailant started firing at him. The terrorist escaped after shooting, a CCTV footage of which has also surfaced. At the same time, the army and police personnel who reached the spot soon after the attack have cordoned off the area and started searching for the attackers.
