Officials in Bajpur isolate corona positive trucker from Punjab

No cases of corona infection were found in Uttarakhand on Monday in the health bulletin published till 2 P.M. But a corona infected truck driver from Fatehgarh in Punjab reached Bajpur in Udham Singh Nagar district. The police traced him and admitted him to the hospital.

Additional Secretary Health Yugal Kishore Pant said that the driver, who arrived in Bajpur with a truck from Saria from Punjab, has been found Corona infected. On May 7, a sample of a 47-year-old driver was sent to Fatehgarh in Punjab for investigation, which has been reported positive. Police apprehended the truck driver at the border on the information of DC of Fatehgarh. He has been admitted to Sushila Tiwari Medical College.

While the operator accompanying him is quarantined in Bajpur. Those coming in contact with the truck driver are also being tracked. At the same time, Pant said that 160 sample reports came from the lab on Monday, all negative.

While 154 samples have been sent from all over the state for investigation, the report of 245 samples is yet to come. A total of 68 infected cases have been reported so far in the state, out of which 46 patients have been cured.
