Uttarakhand secretariat to reopen from May 4

Work is going to start in Uttarakhand Secretariat and Vidhan Sabha Secretariat from 04 May. The government has made complete preparations to resume the work. The secretariat and the assembly complex have been sanitized. According to the order of the Chief Secretary, officers of Group A and B will be on 100 per cent and   33 per cent of Staff of Group C will be on rotation.

The government said that the premises would be sanitized even during the working day. Simultaneously, thermal screening of all personnel entering the secretariat will be done at the gate itself. All door handles, stairs etc. will be cleaned. It will be mandatory for all personnel entering the Secretariat and the Assembly to wear masks.

Entry of outsiders in secretariat completely banned

The entry of outsiders into the secretariat has been banned keeping in mind the corona infection. Now only government employees along with secretariat employees will get admission. Employees will also be required to wear masks.

Secretary Secretariat Administration BS Manral on Friday released the new guidelines. In this, arrangements have been made to restrict the movement of people within the Secretariat. The entry of outsiders is banned. The employees will also have a thermal screening at the gate before admission.

Four wheelers will get entry from Rajpur Gate only. Pedestrian and two-wheelers will be able to enter from the Subhash Road gate. There will be regular sanitation in the secretariat premises, section, gallery, canteen, meeting hall. There will be a ban on chewing gum, pan masala, spitting in the secretariat. Emphasis is laid on the use of ladders in place of elevators. If needed, only one person will use the lift at a time.

Keeping in mind the Corona infection, a new guide line has been released looking at how to start functioning in the Secretariat. Which has come into force with immediate effect. There will be regular sanitization throughout the campus. Masks will inevitably have to be used along with following social distance.
