All districts in Uttarakhand placed in Orange zone as cases rise rapidly

With the increasing influx of migrants in the state, there has been a big jump in the number of corona infected. As a result, within seven days all the districts of the state have joined the Orange Zone. Last week, seven districts were in the Green and six districts in the Orange Zone.

The Uttarakhand government now has to determine the zones of districts on the basis of six parameters as per the guidelines of the Central Government every week. Last week, the state government for the first time determined the zone based on these standards. This included Dehradun, Pauri and Uttarkashi of Garhwal and Nainital, Almora and Udham Singh Nagar in the Kumaon division to be in the orange zone and the remaining seven districts in the Green Zone. It was also a great relief for the state. The reason is that none of the districts in it came under the category of Red Zone.

In the last one week, there has been a sharp rise in corona cases in the state. At present, there is no district in the state where the case of corona infection has not come to light. On Sunday, in connection with the determination of the zone, the committee met and determined the zones of the districts afresh. Considering all the standards, all the districts of the state have been kept in Orange category. However, the relief is that none of these districts are in the Red Zone. This means that at present, there will be no change in the system applicable in relation to business activities and opening and closing of government offices.
