Passing Out Parade held in IMA Dehradun

After a rigorous training, 333 cadets completed the final leg at the IMA today. With this, they became part of the Indian Army. Apart from this, 90 foreign cadets also joined the army of their country. Of these, 90 young military officers became an integral part of the army of nine friendly countries Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Bhutan, Mauritius, Maldives, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.  Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane participated in the parade as a reviewing officer.

The cadets reached the parade venue at 6:42 am this morning and the parade started. The deputy commandant first took the salute of the parade. Commandant Lt General. Jaivir Singh Negi at exactly five past seven.took the salute of the parade. After this, Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane inspected the parade. The reviewing officer distributed prizes to the winners. Then these bravehearts joined the army for the last leg. After the Oath Ceremony, 423 Gentleman Cadets became an integral part of the army of the country and abroad.

Coronavirus Impact seen at the Parade

This time, 333 Indian and 90 foreign cadets have completed training from the IMA and the Indian Army and foreign cadets are ready to take command of their countries. This is the first time cadets have completed the last leg without their parents and relatives in attendance. The cadet’s covered their faces with a mask over thier mouth during the parade due to the coronavirus outbreak.
