Uttarakhand Corona update 23 June: Over 100 positive cases; total cases cross 2500

With 134 new cases recorded in Uttarakhand on Tuesday, June 23, the total number of cases in the state has reached 2535. Out of these 1602 patients have recovered. According to the Health Bulletin issued by the Health Department, 26 Corona infected have been found in Udham Singh Nagar. In Pauri, 20, four in Chamoli, 25 in Dehradun, 15 in Tehri, 14 in Almora, eight in Nainital, two in Rudraprayag, nine in Haridwar, five in Uttarkashi, four in Bageshwar and two in Champawat, corona infected patients have been reported.

Tehri becomes second district with most number of corona cases

With 15 new cases reported today, Tehri overtook Nainital to be the second most Corona affected district in the state. So far, 392 cases have been reported from Tehri. Incidently, Tehri was one of the few districts from where no corona cases were reported when the state was divided into zones initially during the lockdown. But with the arrival of migrants from other states of India, the corona numbers have shot up exponentially in the district.

Corona positive patient dies in Doon Medical College

A corona positive patient aged 52 years died in Doon Hospital on Tuesday. The co-morbid patient was referred from a private hospital, after receiving information about being corona positive, the patient was rushed to Doon Hospital, where he succumbed shortly after.
