Record Corona cases found in Uttarakhand, total cases go past 4500
There was a record Corona spike in the state on Sunday after 239 positive patients were found in the hill state. Coronavirus has been confirmed in 150 people in Haridwar district alone. For the first time in 125 days of the corona period, 239 corona patients have been found in a single day. According to the Health Bulletin released by the Health Department, on Sunday, 58 patients in Dehradun, 13 in US Nagar, seven in Nainital, four in Pauri, five in Uttarkashi, one each in Almora and Chamoli districts have been confirmed corona virus.
The total corona patients figure in the state is 4515. While 35 patients were discharged after recovering from hospitals on Sunday. With this, the number of patients who have been cured so far has reached 3116. 1311 patients are being treated in various hospitals and Covid care centers of the state. On Sunday, a total of 2573 samples were sent from across the state for examination. Maximum 553 have been sent from Haridwar while 540 have been sent from US Nagar District. Incidentally, these two districts also have the highest number of results awaited. Overall, 8104 results are awaited in the state as per the health bulletin issued on 19 July.
A large number of samples have also been sent from Dehradun, Nainital etc. districts for examination. So far, a total of 119345 samples have been sent for investigation in the state. Of which 104118 samples have come negative. The rate of doubling of corona patients in the state has come down to 22 days. While the Recovery rate has also fallen to 69 percent. The infection rate has once again increased to 4.22 percent. To prevent corona infection, districts have also increased containment zones, taking the total to 125.
859 corona infected cases in one week
With the increase in sampling in Uttarakhand, the graph of corona infected cases has also increased rapidly. In a week, 859 corona cases have been reported in the state. The number of patients recovering was 363. This has reduced the state’s recovery rate.
The corona period in the state has been 18 weeks i.e. 126 days. From 12 to 18 July, 21590 samples have been examined. This week was the worst in terms of infection. The most corona infected cases in the past week so far have been reported in the 18th week.
In this, the most infected have been found in Udham Singh Nagar, Dehradun. Anoop Nautiyal, founder of the Social Development for Community Foundation studying Corona figures, said that the number of infected cases in the past 5 days is 834. This situation is worrying as the number of cases is on the rise with the increase in number of tests in the state.
