No lockdown to be observed on Saturday 4 districts, weekly closure to be followed

The four districts of the state will not have a lockdown on Saturday. At the same time, the decision on whether to keep the lockdown on Sunday was taken in today’s meeting to be chaired by Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat.

Due to the increasing Corona infection in the state, the government had decided to lockdown for two days Saturday and Sunday in four districts Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital and US Nagar. On August 1 and 2, it was relaxed in view of the festivals.

In unlock 3, with the removal of night curfew in the state, the government has also opened gyms and yoga centers, so at present it was decided not to keep the lockdown on this Saturday.

Trade organizations were also opposed to the lockdown. They argued that business is being affected due to the closure of two days a week, in such a situation, the government has to pull back on Saturday’s lockdown.

However, its formal orders were not made by the government. Due to the second Saturday of the month, government and semi-government offices will remain closed, but commercial vehicles will be able to travel.

On Saturday at 11 am, the Chief Minister had called a meeting on this issue.

The Saturday and Sunday lockdowns in Doon district have been lifted. There will be no curfew like situation on both these days. On Saturday, markets, offices and other establishments will be fully open. DM Dr. Ashish Shrivastava said that now only markets will be closed weekly. Orders have been given to implement it strictly.

There will be no restriction on Saturday. Here, merchant organizations were protesting because of two consecutive days of lockdown. Those who got a big relief after the new order of DM. Recently due to Corona infection, markets were being closed in the district on Saturday and Sunday. This system has been stopped. Instead the market will be closed on the day fixed according to the weekly closure.

DM Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava has confirmed this. He said that the day of the Tehsil region-wise market closure was decided in advance. Only the shops in the respective area of ​​market closure will remain closed. There will be no restriction on movement. At the same time, shops connected with essential services will remain open on the day of market closure.

Accordingly, the day of market closure in Doon is Sunday. DM said that the market closure will be effectively implemented in the city on Sunday. In other tehsil areas, it will be applicable from the appointed day.
