Heavy rain alert forecast for Uttarakhand on July 19
On July 19, a warning of heavy to very heavy rain has been issued by the Meteorological Department in the districts of Kumaon division and adjoining districts of Garhwal division. In view of this, guidelines have been issued by writing a letter to all the District Magistrates on behalf of the State Emergency Operation Center located at the Secretariat.
In a letter issued to the districts by Jayalal Sharma, Joint Secretary and Duty Officer, State Emergency Operation Center, it has been said that in view of the possible emergency situation, caution, safety and control should be taken at every level.
The officers of all the departments should coordinate among themselves. During this, all the designated officers and departmental nodal officers of the disaster management IRS system will be on high alert. NH, PWD, PMGSY, ADB, BRO, WB, CPWD etc. Departments will take immediate action to open any motorway in case of any obstruction.
