Uttarakhand corona update: 269 cases found on 8 January

Corona infection in Uttarakhand now appears to be largely stable. There were 269 new cases of corona found in the state. The good thing is that the sample positivity rate on Friday was 1.91 percent. If this trend continues then the state will get a big relief in the fight against Corona. According to information received from the health department, a total of 14059 sample test reports have been received from private and government labs. Out of which 13790 investigation report has come negative.

In Dehradun, the maximum number of 90 people have been affected by corona infection. 58 people have also been infected in Nainital. Apart from this, 31 new cases have been found in Haridwar, 19 in Udham Singh Nagar, 14 in Almora, 13 in Pithoragarh, 7 each in Chamoli, Champawat, Pauri, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi, 6 in Tehri and 3 in Corona in Bageshwar. 93111 cases of corona have been reported so far in the state. In which 87127 people have been cured. While 3179 are currently active cases. At the same time 1243 patients have gone to other states.

Seven patients died

So far 1562 corona-infected patients have died in the state. Seven patients died on Friday too. Three patients died in AIIMS Rishikesh. While two patients died in Sri Mahant Indiresh Hospital. Apart from this, one patient died in Doon Medical College Hospital and Haldwani Medical College.

390 patients recovered

The biggest relief in the war against Corona is on the recovery front. Every day many more people are getting healthy than new cases. Due to which the recovery rate is also getting better. As of Friday, 390 patients have recovered in various districts. Among them 133 are from Dehradun, 102 Nainital, 37 Pithoragarh, 25 Haridwar, 21 Udham Singh Nagar, 16 Pauri, 13 Uttarkashi, 12 Almora, 9 Chamoli, 9 Champawat, 8 Tehri, 4 Rudraprayag, and one patient from Bageshwar. The recovery rate in the state is currently 93.57 percent.
