MBBS students now required to maintain log book

The pattern of studies of students studying MBBS has changed. Along with the changed pattern, the Medical Council of India (MCI) has made it mandatory to fill the logbook. This will be updated with the complete information of everyday activity.

The students will be thoroughly evaluated in the logbook issued by MCI. On which day did they read which topic, what did they learn, what did they do related to that topic? What remark did the subject teacher give on this?

Answers to all such questions have to be prepared daily. MCI has also linked the subject to practicality. Under this, the pattern of studies has now become the focus on the case study. That is, if there is a topic attached to the heart, then a case study will be explained to the students. They will also be asked questions based on the case study. The performance of the logbook can be seen on the MCI website.

This change took effect

Instead of theory based studies, emphasis is being given to practical studies for MBBS students. Along with this, students are now being taught in the college to increase their command over local languages and communicate better with patients.

MCI has added some new subjects for medical students, with no change in content with the course. MBBS has started from this session with the foundation course.

The Medical Council of India has made the logbook mandatory. This will not only evaluate the students but also the teachers in a way. Everyday activities will be included in this journal.
