CBSE Board exams 2021 postponed for class XII

Amid growing outbreak of Corona virus, there is a demand to postpone the 10th and 12th class exams of CBSE boards. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ and other officials of the Ministry of Education on this subject. In the meeting it has been decided to postpone the CBSE board exams 2021 for class XII. For class X a decision will be taken regarding promoting students to class XI based on internal exams/ assessment. There will be a review meeting on this on 1st June.

CBSE Class X Exams 2021 cancelled

In the official statement by the CBSE it has been said that, the “Board Exams for class X to be held from 4 May to 7June, 2021 are hereby cancelled. The results of Class X Board will be prepared on the basis of objective criterion to be developed by the Board. “

There is an increasing demand for postponement / cancellation

The demand for postponement or cancellation of CBSE board examinations is increasing in view of the growing cases of Corona pandemic infection across the country and the restrictions being imposed in various states for prevention. While some states have postponed the state board examinations of 10th and 12th classes, on the other hand, the Uttar Pradesh state government has been given instructions by the Allahabad High Court for considering a two-week full lockdown on Tuesday. In this sequence, students preparing for CBSE board exams as well as parents and teachers are also demanding cancellation of CBSE exams and alternative mode for evaluation.
