Over 5000 corona cases in Uttarakhand in last 24 hours
Corona numbers are breaking records each passing in day in India as well as Uttarakhand. Today, in Uttarakhand, there have been record 5084 positive cases of Corona. With this, the total number of corona infections in Uttarakhand now stands at 147433. In which the number of active cases is 33330, today 1466 people have been cured, the total number of recovery cases is 108916. So far 2102 people have died. Meanwhile, 81 corona infected have died in the last 24 hours.
Nearly 1 in 7 samples positive
Sample reports of 31225 people have been found to be negative. A total of 3389561 sample reports have been negative so far. 22533 report is yet to come. As per the health data received today nearly 1 in 7 samples in the state is testing positive for Corona. The sample positivity rate in Uttarakhand currently stands at 4.17 percent.
The rate of recovery of corona infection in Uttarakhand has come down to 73.87%. Uttarakhand has 155 containment zones of corona infection.
Talking about today’s health department report, 117 cases are from Almora district, 10 from Bageshwar district, 90 from Chamoli district, 321 from Champawat district, 1736 from Dehradun district, 958 from Haridwar district, 592 from Nainital district, 301 from Pauri Garhwal, 123 from Pithoragarh, 53 from Rudraprayag, 119 from Tehri Garhwal, 378 from Udham Singh Nagar district and 215 from Uttarkashi district. Presently, 155 areas have been sealed in Uttarakhand in view of the coronavirus infection.
Government offices closed till 28 April
The cases of Corona is continuously increasing in Uttarakhand. Today 81 people died in a single day. The Uttarakhand government has given instructions to close government offices in the state by 28 April. Earlier orders were given to keep the office closed till 25 April. Now it has been decided to keep all government offices closed till 28 April. In view of the increasing infection of Covid in the state, the state government has now decided to close the government offices of the state on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday as well. In this regard, orders issued by Secretary Health Pankaj Pandey said that now the government offices will be closed till 28 April.
