Uttarakhand Night Curfew: timings changed in new guidelines

In view of the rapidly increasing cases of Corona virus infection, the Government of Uttarakhand has again issued a revised guideline. Under this, the night curfew will now be applicable from 9 P.M to 5 A.M. Along with this, weekly Covid-19 curfew will be held every Saturday and Sunday in Dehradun Municipal Corporation area. Weekly Covid-19 curfew will be applicable on every Sunday in other districts of the state. Regarding this, the Chief Secretary has issued orders on Saturday.

Know what is in the new guideline

  • The guidelines issued by the state government on 30 March will remain unchanged.
  • The number of people present in all religious, political and social events as well as other ceremonies including marriages shall not exceed 200. (The guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs for the Mahakumbh Mela 2020-21 Haridwar Mela Area on 22 January and the State Government issued on 26 February will remain unchanged in Kumbh Mela area Haridwar). Public vehicles (bus, Vikram, auto rickshaw etc.) will operate with 50 percent passenger capacity.
  • All cinema halls, restaurants and bars will operate with 50 percent capacity.
  • All gyms will be operated with 50 percent capacity.
  • Coaching institutes operating in all districts will be completely closed.
  • All swimming pools, spas will be completely closed.

Night curfew rules

  • Night curfew will be applicable from 9 am to 5 am in all districts of Uttarakhand.
  • Weekly Covid curfew will be applicable on every Saturday and Sunday from April 18 in the municipal corporation area of ​​Dehradun district.
  • In other districts of the state, weekly Covid curfew will be applicable on every Sunday of April.
  • Government and non-government offices / institutions related to essential services under Dehradun will also be open on Saturday. During these restrictions, relaxation will be given in the following activities
  • Exemption of traffic to the employees of the industrial organizations in which there are many shifts.
  • Movement of persons and goods for emergency operations on national and state highways.
  • Exemption for persons employed in traveling and movement of cargo vehicles.
  • Relaxation for passengers going to their destination after getting off buses, trains and airplanes.
  • Exemption from restrictions will be provided in the prescribed time for movement from banquet halls / community halls / religious places for wedding, social and religious events.
  • Exemption for workers of institutions in which work is done in night shifts.
