Nearly 300 students write to CJI to quash order of conducting offline class XII Board Exams

There are deliberations going on between CBSE, Central Government and many state governments regarding conducting the class 12th board exam. While the central government is preparing to get it done from June, many states including Delhi and Maharashtra are adamant that students are not called for the examination without vaccination.

In this episode, on Tuesday, around 300 students of CBSE 12th class have written a letter to Chief Justice NV Ramana. In their letter petition, these students have requested the cancellation of CBSE’s decision to conduct physical exam amidst Corona. Students have also appealed to the Supreme Court to direct the government to decide an alternative method of assessment.

Students say that many students have lost their family members due to Covid-19 in the country. In such a situation, conducting physical examination at this time is not only a threat to the safety of millions of students and teachers, but also to their families.

It may be noted that in view of the future of children, on Sunday, in a high-level meeting convened by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, it was decided that the board exams of 12th will not be canceled. Most of the states except Delhi have also suggested to conduct 12th board examinations. The central government has said that it will soon eliminate the confusion arising among the students and parents about the examinations. A decision will be taken on the exam on or before June 1 and the exam date will be released. It is believed that the 12th examinations may be held in July.
