Uttarakhand corona update: Cases show signs of second peak decline

Early signs of the second wave of corona slowing are now beginning to be seen. In Uttarakhand, more people are getting healthier than infected for the last two days. Apart from this, the number of new and active cases is also declining. That is, the effect of stricter Covid curfew and other restrictions is now visible.

The uncontrolled corona in mid-April has been reduced to some extent. According to health department statistics, 32269 samples have been tested in private and government labs on Wednesday. Of these, 4492 samples report positive. Accordingly, the infection rate has been 13.92 percent. Not only this, more than one and a half times more i.e 7333 patients have recovered. The rapid increase in the number of healthy patients is also the reason the recovery rate in the state now reaching 72.11 percent.

The recovery rate has increased by six percent in the last ten days. At the same time, there is a continuous decrease in active cases. There are 73172 active cases in the current state. So far 3,00,282 people have been infected with corona in Uttarakhand, out of which 2,16,529 have become healthy. At the same time, 5325 corona-infected patients have died so far. Today, 110 deaths occurred in the state.

35177 samples were sent for testing today, while results of 17694 samples is awaited. There are 561 containment zones in the state. 209 vaccination sessions were held on 19 May in which 12621 beneficiaries were vaccinated.
