Uttarakhand corona update: Recoveries outnumber new cases first time in May
The prevalence of corona infection has decreased slightly in Uttarakhand, but the death toll continues to rise. 188 infected people died on Sunday, while corona was confirmed among 4496 people. At the same time, 5034 have been recovered. This marks the first time in May that recoveries were more than the new cases in a span of 24 hours in Uttarakhand. The number of infected patients has now increased to 287286 in the state. However, 198530 infected have also recovered. At present 78802 cases are active, while 4811 have died. Apart from this, 5143 patients have gone out of the state.

As per the health bulletin today, 21224 samples were sent for testing today while results of 14471 samples is awaited. 282 vaccine sessions were held across the state on 16 May in which 18421 people were vaccinated. With this the total number of people who have received atleast one dose of vaccine in Uttarakhand stands at 19,40,279.
