Moderna vaccine gets DGCI emergency use approval

American vaccine company ‘Moderna’ has received emergency use approval from DCGI. This information was given by Dr. VK Paul, Member (Health) of NITI Aayog during the press conference. Dr Paul said that after the arrival of Moderna, there are now a total of four vaccines in the country. Covaxin, Covishield, Sputnik have already been approved in India.

Apart from this, DCGI has allowed drug manufacturer Cipla to import Moderna Vaccine in India. Cipla had sought permission to import and market the US vaccine in India a day earlier.
