Bageshwar becomes first district in Uttarakhand to achieve 100 percent vaccination target

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while interacting informally with the media at the CM residence, said that the first dose of all citizens above 18 years of age has been 100 percent immunized by Khirsu, the development block of district Pauri. The target given for citizens above 18 years of age to district Bageshwar and development block Khirsu (probable population of 2021 relative to 2011 census) is 172210 and 29374 respectively. Against which the first dose vaccination of 176776 and 37789 beneficiaries has been done by district Bageshwar and development block Khisu respectively till August 12, 2021. The Chief Minister said that the world’s largest COVID vaccination campaign is going on in the country under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Uttarakhand has got special support from the Prime Minister. So far this month, 17 lakh doses have been received. We will do 100% vaccination in Uttarakhand by the end of December.

Under the guidance of the Government of India, the Covid-19 vaccination campaign is being successfully organized from 16 January 2021. Necessary steps are being taken continuously at the State, District and Block level to promote the vaccination campaign. According to the Covid-19 vaccination coverage dated 17 August 2021, the first dose of vaccination of 45 years and above beneficiaries is 2326374 (83 percent) and the second dose is 1336923 (48 percent) and the first dose of vaccination for citizens of 18 to 44 years is 3027666 (61 percent). ) and the second dose is 211958 (4%). A total of 7435124 doses have been given under the Covid-19 vaccination campaign till the guest in the state. In which the first dose is 5661943 (73 percent) and the second dose is 1773181 (23 percent).

According to the information received by the Chief Minister, District Bageshwar and development block Khirsu were certified as the first district and development block to complete 100 percent Covid-19 vaccination in the state and the above achievements were appreciated.
