Lakhimpur Kheri violence prime accused arrested after 12 hour questioning

The main accused in the Lakhimpur violence, Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra, has been arrested. Earlier, the Crime Branch team started questioning Ashish from 10:30 am on Saturday. During this, questions were asked from Ashish, to which he kept answering one by one. After about 12 hours of interrogation, the police arrested Ashish. UP DIG Upendra Agrawal said that after a long interrogation, we found that he (Ashish Mishra) is not cooperating, does not want to tell many things in the investigation. That’s why we are arresting them, he will be produced in the court.

SIT Chief Upendra Agarwal told that, ‘Ashish Mishra was not cooperating in the investigation. That’s why he has been arrested’. At present, his medical is being done in the crime branch office as well. He will be produced in the court on Sunday morning. However, till now, in which court Ashish will be produced, the information about it has not been received. At the same time, all the senior officers including the SDM and CO of the district have reached the spot.
