Arvind Kejriwal makes fourth promise if AAP voted to power in Uttarakhand
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal arrived on Tuesday in Kashipur town of Uttarakhand, where he made his fourth major announcement for the state as a guarantee. Kejriwal said that ‘I have come here for the fourth time and will give the fourth guarantee because neither the previous governments did the work of giving the guarantee nor did they keep their promises.’ If the Aam Aadmi Party government is formed in Uttarakhand, then people should be given free electricity. After the previous announcements of providing employment to youth and free pilgrimage, Kejriwal made an important announcement for women saying, ‘1000 rupees will be given every month in the account of every woman above 18 years of age.’
Earlier, the Aam Aadmi Party had made the same announcement in Punjab recently. It was believed that on the lines of Punjab, Kejriwal could make a similar announcement for the women of Uttarakhand. Proving these speculations right, Kejriwal made a big announcement to make women self-reliant and talked about giving 1000 rupees to all adult women and said that the Aam Aadmi Party government will fulfill this promise by ending corruption. ‘The money that politicians kept depositing in their foreign accounts will now go to women’s accounts.’
While calling upon the women, Kejriwal said that ‘you will get the registration done for this guarantee scheme, you must register in it, as has been done earlier in the campaign for free electricity, employment etc.’ In this event, Colonel Ajay Kothiyal, AAP’s CM face in Uttarakhand and AAP’s state spokesperson Uma Sisodia were also present.
