Roadways to run 200 additional busses ahead of Diwali holidays

If you are going home for Diwali holidays and have not booked train reservation or bus seat online, then you may have to face problems. In fact, the waiting list for reservation in trains has crossed 300 and online ticket booking in buses is full. Due to this there will be additional load on buses.

Seeing the situation, Uttarakhand Transport Corporation has made preparations to run 200 additional buses. The crowd of people going home on Diwali will increase from Friday evening i.e. 10th November. In such a situation, the situation regarding seats may become critical this time too. This time there is a 5 day holiday on Diwali.

Due to November 11 being the second Saturday of the month, there will be a holiday in all government offices and most of the educational institutions. Then there is Diwali on 12th November i.e. Sunday and the next three days till 15th November are holidays due to Bhai Dooj. In such a situation, those going to their homes had made reservations in trains many months ago, while the tickets of Transport Corporation’s Super Deluxe Volvo, AC and ordinary buses related to online ticket booking have also been booked. In such a situation, the Transport Corporation has started booking tickets for other long distance ordinary buses online.

Long waiting time for all trains leaving from Doon

The waiting time for all the trains departing from Doon is getting longer. Railways are talking about setting up additional counters at the station for ordinary tickets. The number of trains is less and the number of passengers is in hundreds.
