Veteran BJP politician Harbans Kapoor no more
Sad news for Uttarakhand BJP. Senior BJP MLA Harbans Kapoor from Garhi Cantt has passed away. The CM has expressed grief while paying tribute to the late MLA Harbans Kapoor. BJP leader and former councilor Sachin Gupta informed about the death of Harbans Kapoor. Harbans Kapoor was an MLA from BJP for 8 times but could not become a minister.
It is being told that he died while sleeping late at night. He was known for his easy going and simple nature. On his death, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Speaker Premchandra Agrawal, all ministers, MLAs and senior leaders in the BJP government have expressed grief. Harbans Kapoor, a very renowned leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, became an MLA for eight consecutive terms from the Garhi Cantt assembly seat. Elected MLA from Dehradun seat of Uttar Pradesh from 1989 to 2002. Harbans Kapoor had won four consecutive times from Garhi Cantt seat of Dehradun even after the formation of Uttarakhand state.
