Registration full till 31st May in Kedarnath and Yamunotri Dham

To visit Kedarnath and Yamunotri Dham, registration has been completed according to the capacity till May 31, while in Badrinath Dham, registration is available after May 20 and Gangotri Dham after May 25. So far more than two lakh devotees have visited Kedarnath Dham.

In order to control the increasing crowd of pilgrims in Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham, the government has now made arrangements for registration according to the carrying capacity of the Dhams. Pilgrims without registration are being stopped. So that the devotees do not have to face disturbances due to the arrival of more devotees in the Dhams. The government has fixed 13000 per day limit for Kedarnath Dham, 16000 for Badrinath Dham, 8000 for Gangotri and 5000 for Yamunotri Dham.

Now the registration of pilgrims is being done according to the carrying capacity of the dhams. Registration is not available for Kedarnath and Yamunotri Dham till the end of this month, while for Badrinath Dham, registration is available after May 20 and Gangotri Dham after May 25. According to the report of Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee, more than two lakh devotees have visited Kedarnath and 1.60 lakh in Badrinath Dham till Monday.

SS Samant, senior research officer of Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council, says that according to the carrying capacity for the Chardhams, the number of pilgrims for daily darshan has been fixed by the government. On the basis of this, the registration of pilgrims is being done.
