Rafael Nadal wins French Open for 14th time

Spain’s Rafael Nadal faced Norway’s Casper Rudd in the men’s singles final of the French Open 2022. In this final match, it proved difficult for Rudd to dethrone the King of clay and he lost the final match after losing in straight sets.

Rafael Nadal defeated Rudd 6-3, 6-3, 6-0 to win the match and became the champion. This was the 14th time that Nadal won the French Open title. During this match, Rudd could not put pressure on Nadal from anywhere and lost in straight sets. He also earned some points in the first two sets, but in the last set he was a complete outfoxed and could not win a single game.

Nadal wins 22nd Grand Slam title

Nadal won the 22nd Grand Slam title of his career by winning the French Open 2022 title. He had already surpassed world number one Novak Djokovic and Switzerland’s Roger Federer with 21 Grand Slams after winning the Australian Open this year.

Rafael Nadal once again became the undisputed King of clay and won the French Open title for the 14th time. Prior to this season he won the title in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020.

Nadal’s Tennis Career

Nadal has won the French Open title 14 times, while he has won the Australian Open title twice in the year 2009 and 2022. Apart from this, he won the Wimbledon title twice i.e. in 2008 and 2010. Talking about the US Open, he won this title four times. The U.S. Open was won by Nadal in 2010, 2013, 2017 and 2019.
