State sends proposal to Center for Dehradun-Ramnagar train connectivity

The Uttarakhand government has sent a proposal to start rail service between Ramnagar and Dehradun to the central government. Transport Minister Chandan Ramdas gave this important information. On behalf of the Uttarakhand government, a proposal has been sent to the central government three times in this regard.

MLA Cheema had raised a question in the assembly that there is no direct train service from Ramnagar for the people of Kumaon division to come to the capital Dehradun. In such a situation, common people take a lot of time to reach Dehradun and they are dependent only on road transport. Along with this, a lot of money has to be spent on coming by car and taxi etc.
