Nick Kyrgios defeats Daniil Medvedev in Canadian Open

Australia’s star tennis player Nick Kyrgios defeated defending champion and World number 1 Daniil Medvedev 6-7, 6-4, 6-2 in the National Bank Open Tennis match. Kyrgios, ranked 37th, lost the first set but then came back in a spectacular fashion and won the next two sets to win the match. Kyrgios, who won his 7th ATP Tour title in Washington last week, has a 3-1 record against Medvedev.

Kyrgios has won 14 of the last 15 matches. His only defeat came in the Wimbledon final against Novak Djokovic. Earlier, Tommy Paul of America defeated second seed Carlos Alcaraz of Spain 6-7, 7-6, 6-3.
