Uttarakhand weather update: Rain forecast for 7 districts today

According to Bikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Center, there may be rain in most areas of the state today. Heavy rain is expected at isolated places in Dehradun, Tehri, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh. An orange alert has been issued regarding this, whereas, there may be thunderstorms in other districts as well.
Gangotri Dham Yatra halted for two days
Due to frequent landslides between Helgugad and Sunagar on Gangotri National Highway in Uttarkashi and warning of the Meteorological Department, the district administration has halted the visit to Gangotri Dham for Sunday and Monday.
