Rise in the stock market, Sensex jumps 938 points, Nifty closed above 22,600

There was enthusiasm in the stock markets on the first day of the business week. Sensex-Nifty closed with great gains. At the end of trading, BSE Sensex based on 30 shares closed at 74,668.04 points with a rise of 937.88 points or 1.27 percent. Similarly, Nifty of National Stock Exchange based of fifty shares also closed at 22,643.40 points with a gain of 223.45 points or 1 percent.

ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank, SBI, UltraTech Cement and Axis Bank were the top gainers of Nifty in Monday’s trade. Whereas HCL Technologies, Apollo Hospitals, Bajaj Auto, HDFC Life and Hero MotoCorp were the top losers.

The stock market closed in the red on April 26

At the end of trading on the last trading day i.e. April 26, BSE Sensex closed at 73,730.16 points with a decline of 609.28 points or 0.82 percent. At the same time, NSE’s Nifty fell by 150.40 points or 0.67 percent and closed at the level of 22,419.95.

SEBI issues new instructions on regulatory fees for BSE

The exchange is now expected to pay higher regulatory fees after market regulator SEBI directed BSE to pay fees based on the “notional value” of its options contracts instead of the premium price. After this step of the Securities and Exchange Board of India, BSE shares fell by 18.64 per cent to a low of Rs 2,612.0 on NSE on Monday.
