IPL Auctions 2023: Sam Curran becomes most expensive player in IPL history
Sam Curran of England broke all the records in the IPL auction on Friday (December 23). He has become the costliest player in IPL history. Sam Curran with a base price of Rs 2 crore was went to Punjab Kings for Rs 18.50 crore. Curran, who made his IPL debut for Punjab Kings, has once again joined his old team. Curran also played for Chennai Super Kings in 2020 and 2021.
Before Curran, KL Rahul (Rs 17 crore) was the most expensive player in IPL. He was included in their team by Lucknow Supergiants through the draft last year. On the other hand, talking about the foreign players, South Africa’s Chris Morris (Rs 16.25 crore) was the most expensive buy. Sam Curran has earlier played for Punjab Kings. He has also been a member of Chennai Super Kings.
