Akshaya Tritiya 2023: Doors of Gangotri, Yamunotri to open today
On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, on Saturday, April 22, the portals of Gangotri-Yamunotri will be opened for devotees to visit for the summer season. The doors of Gangotri will open at 12:35 in the afternoon and the doors of Yamunotri will open at 12:41. The process of opening the doors of Gangotri started on Friday. Under this, the procession from Mukhba left for Gangotri Dham on Friday with the tunes of the army band. The villagers of Mukhba village became emotional during the farewell of Mother Ganga.
Along with this, devotees from all over the country and abroad will be able to seek blessings here for the next six months.
Intermittent snowfall
Pilgrims have started reaching Uttarakhand in large numbers for Chardham Yatra season 2023. Yatris have left for the darshan of Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham, opening from Saturday. Preparations have been completed for the opening of the portals of Gangotri and Yamunotri temples located in Uttarkashi district. However, intermittent rain and snowfall, may hamper in preparation works.
