Uttarakhand weather update: Weather to remain sunny & dry in most parts of the state
It was sunny across the state on Friday from the field to the mountains. Due to which the heat was felt during the day. The maximum temperature was recorded one to two degrees above normal.
Today on Saturday as well, it was sunny in almost all the areas including Dehradun since morning. In such a situation, there is a possibility of further increase in temperature. At the same time, the days of pleasant weather have passed due to bright sunshine.
Bright sunshine in the plains
On Friday, it was sunny throughout the day in Haridwar, Dehradun, Roorkee, Rishikesh, Udham Singh Nagar districts. The maximum temperature of Dehradun was recorded two notches above normal at 31.9 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature at 14.6 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature of Mussoorie was 27.2 and the minimum temperature was 11.2 degree Celsius.
In the hills, Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Tehri districts also had sunshine throughout the day. The weather of Uttarakhand is likely to remain dry on Saturday as well. Then on Sunday i.e. April 9, the weather is likely to change at some places in the hilly districts. During this, there may be light to moderate rain and snowfall at some places.
Meteorological Center Dehradun Director Bikram Singh said that the weather will remain dry on Saturday as well. Light rain and snowfall is expected at some places in the higher reaches of the hill districts of Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar on Sunday and Monday.
