Railways preparing to run Vande Bharat metro between Dehradun & Kathgodam
After the success of Vande Bharat train, Railways is preparing to run Vande Metro train full of state-of-the-art facilities at the regional level as well. Vande Metro will be run between two such cities, the distance between which will be 100 to 300 kilometers. Work has started on the project of running Vande Metro between Dehradun to Kathgodam in Uttarakhand.
According to railway officials, there is a plan to run Vande Metro train between the two cities with the objective of making rail travel pleasant and simple. The Vande Bharat Metro train will be a hydrogen-based indigenous train, which is being designed by Indian engineers. This train will be manufactured in India only.
The design of Vande Metro train will be revealed by the end of June. This train will prove to be a revolutionary change for Indian Railways. The engine of Vande Metro train will be completely hydrogen based. Due to which pollution will be zero.
The number of trains will be three
If the Vande Metro train becomes operational between Dehradun and Kathgodam, it will be the third train running on this route. Presently Naini Doon Jan Shatabdi runs daily between Dehradun to Kathgodam at 3:55 PM and Kathgodam Express at 11:30 PM. In such a situation, the passengers of this route will get a big relief by having a third train.
