Uttarakhand cabinet meeting: Key points taken in meeting on 31 May

A cabinet meeting was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. In this meeting, 13 important issues of Uttarakhand were discussed. In the meeting, topics related to women empowerment, health, transport, transport and revenue departments were discussed.

An important decision has been taken in this cabinet meeting. Now the term of the chairman of the commission will be six years. Till now the tenure of the chairman of the commission was five years. Along with the tenure, the age has also been increased. The age has also been increased from 65 to 68 years. Now there will be retirement at 68 years age.

Chakrata township got approval

In the cabinet meeting, CM Dhami approved ‘New Chakrata’ township. This township will include 40 villages. MDDA will be expanded for this. Along with this, 37 new posts have been increased in the structure of the tourism department. This big decision has been taken in the cabinet meeting. Till now there were 269 posts in the structure of the tourism department. Now it has increased to 306.

Important decisions taken in the cabinet

  • The fee of Rs 75 lakh has been waived for passing the map of the four meditation camps being built in Kedarnath Dham.
  • Approval to place the 2021-22 Annual Accounts Report of the Electricity Department in the House.
  • Approval given to the Chief Minister’s Higher Education Scholarship Scheme in the Higher Education Department.
  • Mineral Avoidance Rules approved. Application fee increased. Mining lease can be given for up to 10 years. Now there will be a fee for changing the lease. E-auction process prescribed.
  • Approval given to transfer 26.08 hectares of land to shift the High Court to Haldwani
