Corona cases in India could peak in June-July says AIIMS Director

Coronavirus cases are increasing continuously throughout the country. Meanwhile, AIIMS director Randeep Guleria has made an important statement. He said that Corona cases in India could increase peak in June-July.

Guleria said, ‘Two things need to be seen, as the cases are increasing, our testing has also increased. If we want success, then even if the testing increases, the cases should be reduced. We should be vigilant.’

He said, ‘Lockdown has had its advantages. The first advantage is that the number of cases has not increased as much. The cases of those who were with us have become so much more. People have got Covid Hospitals, doctors training and time.

Guleria said, “The number of Corona positive cases will see further increase in the coming months. Corona-infected cases will peak in June-July.”

He said, “Only after peak time or 2-3 months will the number of positive cases stop or decrease. The government should increase the covid center, testing and maintain strictness in hotspot areas or places.”

Guleria said, ‘The fight against Corona is a people’s fight. The public will have to cooperate in such a situation. Basic rules like social distancing, sanitizer, handwash have to be followed.’

He said, ‘The fight against Corona will last a long time. In this way, there will be a change in everyone’s lifestyle. You all have to change your lifestyle. When you go to shopping malls, movie theaters, you have to adopt new rules like social distancing, masks.’
